SHOP staff in Morpeth have helped their company reach the shortlist for a national award.
The Original Factory Shop is in the running for Customer Service Initiative of the Year in the Retail Week Awards.
Judges were impressed by the ‘shop online offline’ service, which enables customers to access website deals without the need for a computer. The winner will be announced in March and staff are keeping their fingers crossed that they will take the honour.
Morpeth Store Manager Kim Duncan said: “Our shop-online-without-the-internet initiative offers customers who don’t have access to the Internet, or who don’t have a credit card, the chance to still enjoy the great deals available on our website by ordering in store and paying by cash if they want to do so. The goods they purchase will then be delivered to their home.
“We haven’t won it yet, but we’re over the moon to have made it on to the shortlist for such a prestigious award. This just recognises all the hard work our colleagues have put in since day one and highlights our dedication to always go the extra mile for our customers.”
