THIS year’s Morpeth Theatre Group pantomime was a hit.
The Hansel and Gretel performances at King Edward VI School were well received and ticket sales were similar to 2012, while more than £100 was raised for Barnabas Safe and Sound from bucket collections at each show.
Morpeth Theatre Group Chairman Peter Denton said: “We received many positive comments from the audiences after the performances, particularly about the children playing Hansel and Gretel.
“All the actors, those working backstage and the other people involved in the production did really well to put on a very good show, despite the trouble and disruption caused by the snow during January.”
“We would like to thank everyone who came along to watch the pantomime and we’re very grateful to Morpeth Boys’ Brigade and the 6th Morpeth Scout Group for their support.”
