POSTAL delivery services are changing across Ponteland from this week.
Royal Mail has advised that it is altering delivery routes in the NE18, NE19 and NE20 areas to make them more efficient, which may have an impact on the times residents usually receive their post.
Deliveries may be later or earlier, and when the volume of mail varies, the normal arrangements and times could be adjusted.
Royal Mail will continue to deliver post in the morning and for a longer period during the day.
Many customers will continue to receive their mail by lunchtime.
The changes are being made as part of modernisation of the service. There will also be investment in new equipment to help staff carry heavy loads.
