A NORTHUMBERLAND beauty spot has made it into the Good Beach Guide for another year.
Druridge Bay South is recommended in the guide by the Marine Conservation Society for excellent water quality following tests in the bathing season last year.
However, Druridge Bay North has only achieved mandatory bathing water standards, losing last year’s recommended status.
A drop in the number of recommended beaches has been seen nationally as a result of the wet summer, which can lead to an increase in bacteria and viruses in bathing waters.
