RESIDENTS with any information about a spate of crimes in Morpeth are being urged to contact police.
Overnight on Wednesday, April 3, into Thursday, April 4, a bike and hi-visibility jacket were stolen from a car port at Bullers Green.
A burglary to an outbuilding in the same street also took place. Although the property from the first theft was recovered, two bikes were stolen from the outbuilding.
Then at Low Ford in Mitford, a shed was broken into but nothing was stolen. And at Mitford Road, a range of items were taken from a shed.
Inquiries are on-going into the offences and it is believed they may be linked. Police think the offender or offenders may have been on the stolen bikes.
The missing cycles are a grey and white Carrera mountain bike and a black and white Hard Rock 12 Specialised bike.
Morpeth Neighbourhood Inspector Dave Simpson said: “We’re carrying out extra patrols in the area to reassure residents and would advise them to ensure all their homes, vehicles and outbuildings are locked and secure at all times. “
Anyone with information about the offences is asked to contact police on 101, extension 69191.
