MORPETH-BASED Gott Technical Services has announced the winners of an automotive design competition for students.
The maintenance equipment supplier, in Coopies Lane, set the project for pairs of students from all year groups at Gateshead College’s Academy for Automotive, Engineering, Manufacturing and Logistics.
Sean Patton and Orin Rowe, both 18, were awarded first place. They designed the ‘magni-mate’ – a magnetic tool holder invention that would help to avoid tools getting lost or misplaced in the workshop. They will spend time on placements with Gott and Benfield Motor Group.
