SIXTH-FORM students at Morpeth’s high school enjoyed an evening of entertainment as well as the presentation of many awards.

The event celebrated the success of Year 13s in sport, music, services to the community, academic progress and achievement.

It was hosted by the King Edward VI School senior students – James Carr, Jennifer Thompson, Josh Bailey and Rebecca Megwa.

Rebecca, who has sung at a number of events and occasions in the town over the last 12 months, was one of the performers on the night.

Those in attendance also heard music from Projected Sound (the House Band), Jonathan Roxburgh and Dean Clark (singing duo), Errol Kerr (pianist), Lauren Gordon (singer) and Hannah Slater-Patterson and Craig Martin (folk tunes).

Head of Year 13 Emma Familton said: “The Year 13 Celebration Evening went very well and it was a wonderful occasion.

“As always, the entertainment at this event was of a high standard.”
