A BID to open a new betting shop in Morpeth has been opposed by town councillors.
Members of Morpeth Town Council’s Planning and Transport Committee have objected to a licensing application by Coral Racing for an outlet at Abbey Meadows as they say the licensing form was incomplete.
Coun Bob Robertson said: “If they can’t fill the paperwork in, they can’t expect a decision in their favour.”
