CUSTOMERS will decide who is top of the shops at Morpeth’s Sanderson Arcade.
For the second year running, the shopping centre is holding its own awards ceremony to recognise good practice and great service.
Around 400 staff work in the various businesses at the arcade and the awards aim to reward their dedication.
There are seven different categories – Customer Service Team, Business Manager, Community Engagement, Green Business, Most Improved Business, Shining Star and Retailer of the Year.
For most of the awards, applicants can submit their own entry, but the biggest honour, the Retailer of the Year, will be voted for by shoppers.
Nominations may mention staff who go the extra mile, good service generally, a variety of stock or any other reason why the outlet deserves to win. Last year, the accolade went to The Corbridge Larder.
Arcade Manager Medi Parry said: “We had a fantastic response to our awards last year, which was the first time we had held them at the arcade so we’re really hoping for an even bigger and better event this time.
“We have around 400 members of staff working in the various businesses here so we hope this is a good opportunity for some of the great teams and individual members of staff to be recognised for the hard work they put in.”
Voting is open until noon on Monday, September 2, and the winners will be announced at a ceremony at Barluga the following evening.
Forms are available from the arcade, or online at www.sandersonarcade.co.uk
