EXTRA budget provision is being sought for the development of Morpeth’s Neighbourhood Plan due to unexpected charges.
Topic groups for the Plan have been meeting in Morpeth Town Hall, but councillors were unaware that as the meetings were additional to those specified in Morpeth Town Council’s rental agreement for the building, there would be room hire charges to cover caretaker, lighting and heating costs.
Now the council’s Finance and General Purposes Committee will be asked to make provision for the extra costs.
