Police are becoming increasingly concerned about a missing 92-year-old man from Corbridge.
Thomas Diggle, of Abbeyfield House in Market Place, has not been seen since 9.30pm on Thursday.
He is described as white, 5’9” tall, with thin grey hair and walks with a stoop. He may have been wearing a flat cap, a a short, light-brown jacket and carrying a walking stick.
Northumberland Superintendent Steve Howes said: “It’s now been two days since Mr Diggle was last seen and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.
“He is an elderly man, and given the current weather conditions it is concerning. We know he can’t walk that far and walks with a stoop and we believe he had a walking stick with him.
“Extensive inquiries are being carried out to trace him, if anyone has seen him or knows where he is we would urge them to get in contact with us. Likewise, we would like to hear from anyone who knows him and can help us with information about his daily routine or the places he often visits. Any information could prove crucial in helping us find him.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 101, extension 69191, quoting log number 431 of 28/03/14.
