Members of the public who can help Ponteland Town Council with its war exhibition in the Memorial Hall are being urged to get in touch.
The memorabilia, artefacts and information relating to the First World War and any of the conflicts since then will be available to see between Monday, November 3 and Saturday, November 8.
The authority is keen to hear from anyone who would like to display something during the exhibition. It is intended to have photographs of any valuable artefacts or memorabilia from the Monday to Friday, with the option to display the real items on the Saturday.
It has also put out an appeal for information about Private Joseph Davison of the 1st/4th Battalion of the Northumberland Fusiliers, who was killed in action during the First World War on September 15, 1916, so that a decision can be made regarding the possible inclusion of his name on the War Memorial.
He was the son of John and Margaret Davison, of Dalton.
For both matters, call the council on 01661 825092 or email enquiries@ponteland-tc.gov.uk
