The producers of a hit UK-wide television competition are coming to Northumberland on Monday evening.

As part of their tour to try to find people who can entertain big crowds, the team from Britain’s Got Talent will attend a special event at Leading Link in Bedlington.

The charity has been running its Northumberland’s Got Talent contest since 2008 and it has uncovered some stars of the future such as Cat in the Hat Lucy Conroy and 50s/60s swing singer Lewis Hill.

Jonny Hall, assistant manager of Leading Link, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase this area to producers from London and the thought that one of the acts they see when they are here could be invited to audition in front of Simon Cowell and the other judges on the main show is a very exciting prospect.”

All ages and types of performers are welcome, but there are an extremely limited amount of spaces available, so those interested are asked to email jonny.hall@leadinglink.co.uk with their name, a contact telephone number and the type of act they would like to perform as soon as possible.
