Farms and rural properties in Northumberland have been targeted by thieves over the last week.
A driveway alarm was stolen in Capheaton when it was activated by the offender at 4.15am this morning.
Overnight on Monday, January 19, fuel was stolen from tractor in Hartburn, near Morpeth.
On the same night, fuel was stolen from a farm in Longframlington, a Stihl saw stolen from a shed on another farm in the village and fencing and wire were stolen from a farm in Horsley.
Sometime in the past few weeks, a generator was stolen from stables in Bolam.
Police are urging people to report vehicles immediately if they are suspicious; be vigilant; keep gates and buildings locked; remove all keys from unattended vehciles and don’t leave machinery or tools on display.
