Proposals have been put forward to amend parking restrictions in Corporation Yard, to the rear of Sanderson Arcade, in Morpeth.
Northumberland County Council has been asked to consider removing a section of the ‘no waiting at any time’ double yellow lines and install seven parking bays in their place.
They will be reserved for use by Northumbria Police – they will be required if Morpeth officers move into office accommodation in the Arcade.
Members of the public were able to find out more about the potential move last month when information displays were put up in the reception area of Morpeth Town Hall and at the Morrisons supermarket in Dark Lane. They were also invited to complete a comments card.
Morpeth’s police officers are currently located in old buildings in the Castle Square area.
