Homes site is a ‘disgrace’

A COUNCILLOR has called for a development site to be tidied up before an application to extend the time limit for planning permission is granted.

The bid has been made to Northumberland County Council for the third phase of the Park View housing scheme to be given more time.

But Coun Thurgood said: “The site should be cleared first before a time extension is granted.

“It is an absolute disgrace. It is covered in all sorts of rubbish.”

The parish heard that no objections were raised to a further two planning applications.

The first was for the installation of 26 solar panels on the roof of the Coquet Children’s Centre.

The second was for a single-storey side extension at a Park Close property, in North Broomhill.
