THIEVES made off in a stolen vehicle after taking farm equipment from a property in Mitford.
The burglars broke into an outbuilding at the farm between 4pm on Sunday and 8.30am on Monday.
They stole a number of tools from inside, before making off with their haul in a stolen Diahatsu 4x4 and trailer.
The Diahatsu Fourtrak was recovered by police in the Morpeth area on Monday afternoon, but the other items remain missing.
They include a Honda agricultural lawnmower, a Robin hedgecutter, a Riobi hedgecutter, a postmaker, a Powerfix concrete breaker, a Stihl saw, a chainsaw and a strimmer.
The trailer is a 10ft by 5ft Ifor Williams model, with the licence plate K997 MGW.
