THE party spirit was in full swing for this photograph from 1955.
The picture belongs to Morpeth resident Lilian Cromar, nee Dobinson, who is seated in the front row in a cowgirl outfit with a black hat.
She thinks it was taken at an annual children’s fancy dress party in the Ballroom of Morpeth Town Hall, with former Morpeth Mayor Dunstan Garry sitting in the centre.
Mrs Cromar cannot remember much about the event as she was only five at the time.
Perhaps some of the other people pictured in the photograph can shed more light on the image.
