A FUN festive drawing by a Stannington school pupil meant he was in the money.
There were about 50 entries for Leeds Building Society Morpeth branch’s annual Christmas card competition.
And the winner was Matthew Nisbit-Forster, who attends Stannington First School.
He received £20 into a new children’s account and a piggy bank. His school got £50 to help purchase equipment.
Morpeth Branch Manager Denise Godwin said: “Matthew’s card had a nice mix of colours and it really stood out on the wall. It also had a clear message.
“We were pleased with the number of entries this year and hopefully more schools in the area will get involved in the 2012 competition.”
