MORPETH’S Sanderson Arcade shopping centre is urging residents to put on their trainers to start 2012 on a healthy footing.
It is running a New Year — New You event on Saturday, from 11am to 3pm, with the aim of helping people to feel fit and ready for the year ahead.
The day will include a number of free 30-minute spinning sessions starting on the hour involving the fitness instructors at Energie Fitness.
Newly-appointed club manager and personal trainer Charlotte Dodson and her gym team will give advice and answer any questions about diet and fitness.
It’s not all about exercise, as make-up artists from The Body Shop will be giving free makeovers from 11am and the women from Lemon and Lime will be providing a nail shape service.
Stylists Michael and Loren from Jazz Hair at the Arcade will be offering styling and giving advice on looks.
The Wellness Centre will be carrying out free body fat testing and offering free smoothie samples, healthy chocolate bars and a free wellness scan.
