EVENTS are being held across Northumberland to help people understand more about the planning system.
Five venues across the county will each host two sessions — An Introduction to Planning, and The Localism Act and Neighbourhood Planning.
The free events, which are open to a wide range of interested parties, from parish councils and community groups to charities, are sponsored by the Government and will be administered by the Campaign to Protect Rural England and the National Association of Local Councils. Each will run from 6.30pm to 9pm, with a light buffet.
An Introduction to Planning will be held at Stannington Village Hall on Tuesday and Morpeth Town Hall on Monday, January 30.
The second session will take place at Stannington on Tuesday, March 13 and Morpeth Town Hall on Monday, March 19.
Anyone wishing to take part in the training can book a place by contacting Carol Davison on 01670 517178, or by e-mail to caroldavison@ca-north.org.uk
Further details of the dates and times for the other venues – Hexham Community Centre, William Elder Buildings Berwick and Lindisfarne Annexe Alnwick – will also be available.
