EYE-CATCHING works by talented art students can be admired in a prime Morpeth town centre location.

The pieces from pupils in all year groups at King Edward VI School are on display in the indoor gallery section at Sanderson Arcade.

They are based on the theme of Northumberland summer scenes and the materials used included acrylic, oil paint and mixed media.

Centre Manager at Sanderson Arcade, Medi Parry, said: “It’s lovely to be working with some of the town’s talented young artists on our displays along the gallery and I hope people enjoy the KEVI pupils’ fantastic displays.”

Head of the art department at KEVI, Laura Summerson, said: “The students have really enjoyed working on this project and it’s fantastic to be able to see their work displayed right in the centre of the town.”
