A support service that helps struggling residents on a range of issues has streamlined its operation in a bid to reach more people.
Three of the Citizens Advice organisation’s six branches in Northumberland have amalgamated to form the Northumbrian CAB.
It has taken over the delivery of advice services from Alnwick, Berwick and West Northumberland CAB and hopes to build on their reputation for delivering high quality information on subjects such as debt, housing, health, divorce and bereavement.
Another aim is that this new body can receive further support so services are available more widely.
Bureau manager Moira Macfarlane said: “We know that in the current climate, the number of people who need our support is far greater and so we urge anyone who can help by donating or volunteering to get in touch on 01665 604136.”
