A television programme which highlights the beauty of the county to people across the UK is to return for a second series.
Tales from Northumberland, which starred Robson Green and was aired on an ITV prime time slot last autumn, drew audiences of almost four million per episode.
A survey carried out after the first series by the county council found that more than 91 per cent of people agreed the county was a great place to visit.
And 85 per cent of the people surveyed said they have been encouraged to find out more about Northumberland and experience it for themselves.
Robson said: “Making Tales From Northumberland was a labour of love and I can’t wait to start work on the second series.
“I’m looking forward to bringing more stories to viewers from a region that continues to enthral and inspire me.”
