BBC Look North’s Carol Malia has been announced as the host of the LOVE Northumberland Awards 2014.
After first hosting the prestigious evening in 2013, where winners receive a £250 prize and runner-up projects a £100 prize, Carol will be the back for the event at the Alnwick Garden.
Carol Malia, returning to the awards for a second year, said: “I am really looking forward to coming back to compere the LOVE Northumberland awards again this year – it was inspiring to see first-hand, the great work and dedication of people right across the county.
“I look forward to seeing this year’s projects and what people are doing to keep Northumberland a clean and green place.”
The announcement was made this week at Belsay First school – winner of the best children’s category in 2013 for their biodiversity project.
In their fourth year and growing in popularity, the awards are presented by the Duchess of Northumberland along with main sponsor the Banks Group. The deadline for entries is next Wednesday.
