The people of Morpeth turned out in huge numbers to pay their respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in this centenary year of the start of the First World War.
The parade started at the Town Hall and as led by Morpeth Pipe Band followed by civic dignitaries, veterans, clergy, representatives of the armed forces and local organisations.
After a service of Remembrance and wreath-laying at the War Memorial in Mafeking Park the parade marched to the Town Hall where the salute was taken.
